While we're not blogging…

Posted on | May 17, 2010 | No Comments

We’ve been having a lot of fun over here lately when I’m not wasting my life away spending quality time on the internet.

Madison and Madilyn's play date.

As I’ve mentioned before, Madison is a mere 3 weeks younger than the daughter of one of my BFFs from way back. I am so glad that our girls get to grow up together and I absolutely love getting together with them for play dates. I can’t wait for swimming weather to get here so we can play with the girls in the pool.

Madison's many faces.

Madison has grown leaps and bounds in the personality department. Not that she has ever been lacking but she is quickly becoming such a little person. She knows exactly what she wants and is very demanding but beyond the dramatics, she is absolutely hysterical. The kid cracks me up on a daily basis. The best part is she knows when she is being funny and keeps on bringing the crazy to a new level to make me laugh harder.

The other day I actually caught her clapping along to Yo Gabba Gabba when they were telling everyone to clap. What happened to my newborn????

Oh, and one of my new favorite things…. every once in a while she lets me cuddle. It breaks my heart a little bit because she wants nothing to do with being hugged tight, being rocked to sleep or snuggling 95% of the time. But lately she’s been humoring me and I get to spend a good 15 minutes loving on her and soaking in the baby bliss.

In regards to the cast…. we are still not suffering from any severe smells but I am just waiting. We get more adventurous everyday with her solids and have had more than one poopslosion. Luckily this cast is a lot easier to clean so you can really get the wipes up in there but I’m sure we’ll be suffering from the Spica stink any day now.

THREE MORE WEEKS until it is off. I can’t even believe that we are towards the end of our journey with the Spica. I can’t wait for her to start catching up on her milestones (rolling over, crawling, pulling up). I am so excited for her to have the freedom to move that she hasn’t had her whole life.

And last but not least…. her new favorite thing is to squeal. All. The. Time. It is really cute, except for when she decides to do it at 7 a.m. on Saturday morning when it’s mommy’s turn to sleep in. I’m going to have to talk to her about that one.

Ryann totally does that, just sits and squeals and yells. Our girls would LOVE each other. And she straightens her legs and rolls her wrists.

That’s so adorable! I love how the squeals stop and she just starts looking at her hands in total awe. What a cutie, with her little chubbiness!

I’m here from the blog hop and a new follower :) We are a HUGE fan of Yo Gabba Gabba. We noticed our daughter liked it so we kept watching it and then one day we realized she was singing one of the songs. Now it’s constant. Get the wiggles out is a big hit over in the Brown household. I can’t wait till our younger daughter can dance along with her! Your daughter is beautiful!

    Blog Party Hoppin!

So cute! I can’t wait until my twins are awake for more of the day and I can really start interacting with them more. Not that I don’t love blogging, I just really want to start spending more time with them. They just can’t seem to stay awake!

I am so excited about her cast coming off! I remember the countdown for Bubs to get out of the wheelchair, then walker, then walk…it’s so exciting. Plus, being able to look back and see what your family is capable of really is a blessing. xoxo

Here from the Blog Party! New follower. I used to keep up on how your daughter was doing on the Bump but I couldn’t take all the crazy drama and left them. I am so happy to hear she is getting her cast off soon. We have about 3 weeks until Dom is out of his helmet and I can’t wait (those things get really stinky) Best of luck and can’t wait to read more!
