Electric Rainbow

The music was loud, the energy was electric and the experience was overwhelming.

I’ve been struggling to come up with words to describe how amazing the Color Me Rad 5K was this past weekend. Everything about the event left me renewed and excited. I’ve never felt so connected with thousands of sweaty strangers and I can’t wait to do it all over again. I was worried about the running aspect of the race and looking back I have to laugh because this 5K is NOT about running. (In fact, it is really hard to run the entire thing because of the enormity of the crowd). What it IS about is coming together, doing something different and having fun.

I’ve been bitten by the bug. I’m already looking at upcoming 5Ks to sign up for and actually run. I know they will be different than this but it was the perfect gateway drug into the world of running. I felt high on life, like I could conquer anything. The race rocked me to my soul.

You go! I did my 4th 5k this year on Saturday. But like you this one I didn’t run, and it was the most amazing experience. It was a foam/mud obstacle “run.”

I loved every second of it! I missed out on a color run since I was out of town in August, but I think I’ll have to do the next one that comes around!

SO AWESOME!!! I love when exercising is fun. There needs to be more color/fun/randomness in running.

PS: You should totally do another 5K or two, or five, or maybe a 10K? (I say all this because I’m too lazy…)
