Obsessing over: Halloween costumes. I’m a little too consumed by what costume to get Madison for Halloween. If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter you already know that I just need to take a Xanax and calm the eff down. But the tantrums these days are over ALL THE THINGS & I’m really concerned that if I buy her the Butterfly costume that she now says she wants then when Halloween ACTUALLY comes she’ll decide she’ll want to be a Firefighter again and will throw herself on a ground and I’ll have to cancel Halloween. The end.

Working on: Motivating myself to start running…. again. With my parents moving and hurting my tailbone and not finding 4:45 a.m. an acceptable time to wake up in the morning I’ve managed to excuse myself from running for 2 weeks. This must end. My pants will thank me.

Thinking about: My first baby turning 3 on Tuesday. THREE. Can someone please tell me when this happened?

Anticipating: All of the new home improvement projects that we can start this Fall and continue into the beginning of 2013. Painting the front door red, adding cement to the area that was once an ugly rock garden by said front door (hopefully just in time for some Fall porch decorating (I use the word “porch” loosely since it will be like a 9 sq. foot slab, painting our bedroom, getting rid of all of our “matchy match” bedroom set in exchange for unique pieces, expanding the wood floor in our living room to the breakfast area, all new tile throughout the house. Whoever is next to Clint while he’s reading this please tell him to breathe!

Listening to: Michael Buble, duh.

Drinking: My second third cup of coffee.

Wishing: I was closer to some dear friends to help them celebrate upcoming birthdays. I love birthday celebrations.

Image Source. You can by that lovely Coffee Print from the adorable Etsy Shop: WhimsyCollage

We are having similar Halloween costume problems. I went through ALL THAT DRAMA to make Caroline a Tinkerbell/fairy princess costume only to have her drag an old sheep costume out of the dress up box and insist THAT is what she wants. Evan has told me “scary dragon” “monkey” and “fire fighter” last week, although I am INSISTING that he be Max from Where the Wild Things Are. He was super excited about it for about an hour and now is changing his mind again. This is why I have a box full of Halloween costumes even though I only have 2 children.

That is a fantastic idea. I always say every year after Halloween I’m going to stock up when they are on clearance, but I don’t. She seems to be sticking with butterfly now. I’m hoping maybe since Hannah is a bumblebee that she’ll want to stick with the theme? HAHA yeah right.

I love the set-up of this post! I might get inspired by both you & Chelsey and write something like this… if I get my ass in gear, ever!
